The Life YOU Deserve
So many people want to be successful but how many actually prepare for being successful?
Act It, Think It, Be Consumed by It and you will Become IT, Whatever "IT" is. Are you setting goals that count? If not, now is the time to start. Without goals it is almost impossible to succeed at anything other than mediocrity. Setting goals isn’t difficult; it's the same as making a list of all the things you want to accomplish. And that list should be a very long list. Life is too short to have a short list of things you want to accomplish. When you make your list of goals--make sure your goals count. Make sure they are meaningful.
We all have goals we want to accomplish, and setting goals that are meaningful helps you choose where you want your life to go. And knowing where you want to go helps keep you focused. Having meaningful goals also helps to uncover distractions you'll have to dodge or eliminate. We must be a mono maniac on a mission! We have to have Focus, Vision, Clarity. Repeat those three words: Focus; Vision; Clarity. Go outside and scream them to the sky… FOCUS; VISION; CLARITY. For without these, you will be rudderless in your goal setting journey. When you list your goals make sure they are consistent with your values. You should only be setting positive goals. Don't set a goal that is so far above your means, or so expensive that you can't afford to take care of it unless part of that goal is obtaining the resources to do so. Remember, these are YOUR life goals. Whatever the mind can conceive, it will achieve. The Universe will deliver what you ask for; just be careful what you ask for!
Asking by itself however won’t help you accomplish your goal. Some people believe that just think positive thoughts and visualizing success will somehow make it happen. Wrong! The only thing that will happen is wishful thinking and ultimately frustration because the success isn’t happening. The positive thoughts, visualizations and goal setting are like a map. They are great tools in helping you get to where you want to go but unless you MOVE, you aren’t going to get there! ACT! Do Something!
I was successful before I had attained all of the “toys” of success. My success was a state of mind and that is what drove me. Each morning I would get dressed for work/success in the little apartment I lived in wearing the one cheap suit I had. I would leave home early and drive to the nicest neighborhood in town. I would then turn around and drive out of that neighborhood visualizing that I was leaving MY house in MY neighborhood. Looking around and thinking about “my” neighbors. Visualizing my children playing there, even though I wasn’t even married at the time! Have you ever wondered why it seems that the rich keep getting richer? It isn’t because they are rich; it is because they expect it. I know some of you are thinking "right, it's easy to expect something when you already have it.” Your right, it is easier but that doesn’t mean you can’t accomplish it! Now get out there and pursue the Life YOU Deserve!
